The Intrinsically Safe version of the doseBadge is gold so that it can be easily identified when compared to the standard silver doseBadge Industrial.

The Intrinsically Safe version of the doseBadge noise dosimeter is for use in potentially hazardous environments, where it is important that a device does not cause sparks or heat up, causing a flammable atmosphere to ignite.

If you need a noise dosimeter with approval for use in such environments then this is the correct version of doseBadge.

If you do not have a hazardous environment then the doseBadge Industrial or doseBadge Pro should be adequate.

All versions of the doseBadge make the measurements required by OSHA, MSHA and others in the USA, as well as satisfying the EU regulations for use in the UK and other parts of Europe.

This version of the doseBadge makes all the same measurements as the doseBadge Industrial, but adds intrinsic safety.

Most regulations demand the use of a Calibrator to check the dosimeter's function before and after measurement. A Calibrator is included in all doseBadge kits.
